Gotham City Chinatown is a district located to the west of Gotham's Diamond District, just south of the Upper West Side. The district is home to a solid and traditional Chinese community.
The district's main street could be accessed through an ornate golden gateway on Gate Street. Known for its restaurants and Oriental markets, Chinatown residents seem to consider themselves a self-contained community and neither ask for nor feel that they require assistance from "outsiders".
As with most districts in Gotham, Chinatown has its own gangs and underground groups, such as the Lucky Hand Triad and the Ghost Dragons, however, another notable underground movement was the Green Dragon; an underground operation which delt in murder, narcotics smuggling and kidnapping. Following a bid by the group to take full control of the entire district, Batman shut the operation down.
